She maintains that singing has always been close to her heart, from a young age, when she would sing in the shower, around the house or create cover songs in her room.
"Music was the only thing that could ever calm me down. When things would get tough, I’d go to the park and sing at the top of my lungs, and the pressure release from that, was mind blowing."
For Schyler, music is about expressing yourself and it’s meant to be uplifting. It’s something that never disappoints and is good for the soul.
"This world can be a mean place and I all I want to do (through my music) is be able to give someone a little breakthrough of light, when all they can see is the dark."
